Privacy Policy
Logos Learning Labs Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") provides LOGOS Flag Quiz (the "app"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app, visit our privacy or support pages, or contact us.
The app does not require an account. Your quiz settings, lists, and Mastery records are stored on your device and are not sent to us by the app. The app is free and does not display advertisements or offer in-app purchases or subscriptions.
1. Information stored on your device
The app stores your quiz settings, language preference, custom lists, and records used to display "Mastery", including counts of correct and total answers, on your device. It uses this information to apply your preferences, organize questions, display learning progress, and restore data from a backup you select.
We do not receive your quiz history. The app does not include an advertising or usage analytics service that sends your learning activity to us.
2. Backups and data transfers
You can export or import a backup containing app settings, lists, and Mastery records. You choose where to save an exported file and whether to share it with another person or service. A recipient may be able to read the information in that file. Keep backups in a location you trust and share them only with intended recipients.
Your operating system may also include app data in device backups, such as iCloud Backup or Android backup services. Availability and completion depend on your device, backup service, settings, and backup conditions. The app cannot check whether an operating system backup has completed.
3. Information you send to support
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. These may include a device model, operating system version, screenshots, or a backup file.
We use this information to respond to your request, investigate the reported issue, provide follow-up support, and meet applicable legal obligations. Please include only information relevant to your request. Do not send passwords or payment details. Send an entire backup only if it is needed to investigate an issue.
Our email service provider processes messages as part of delivering and storing support email. Information you send through your own email or file-sharing service is also handled under that service's policies.
4. Privacy and support websites
Our privacy and support pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub records and stores visitors' IP addresses for security purposes when these pages are visited. This is separate from the quiz information stored by the app. For details about GitHub's processing of website visitor information, see the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
We do not add advertising or analytics trackers to these pages.
5. External services and sharing
Apple and Google handle app distribution, and your chosen providers handle device backups, email, and any files you share. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies and your settings. Opening an external website or sharing a backup does not give us access to the information held by that service.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We may disclose information received through support to the extent required by applicable law. We do not have access to device-only quiz data to disclose or retrieve it on your behalf.
6. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Different types of information are retained in different places:
- App data: in-app delete and reset controls delete or reset the relevant data currently used by the app. They do not necessarily remove every saved copy, including copies retained for recovery during imports. To remove data held in the app's storage, use your operating system's app-data deletion controls or delete the app together with its data. The available controls depend on your operating system.
- Exported files and device backups: deleting or resetting data in the app does not delete files you saved or shared, or backups retained by your operating system or cloud provider. Manage those copies separately through the relevant storage location or service. Restoring a device backup may restore app data.
- Support email: we retain messages and attachments only for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, provide follow-up support, or meet applicable legal obligations. We delete information when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have provided to us, contact us using the details in section 9. We will handle your request in accordance with applicable law. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. We cannot remotely access or delete information stored only on your device or in a backup you control.
7. Children and guardians
The app can be used without providing a name, email address, date of birth, or account details. We do not ask children to submit personal information through the app.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, for example by email, please contact us. We will review the request and delete information that is no longer needed, subject to applicable legal obligations.
8. Information security
Access to local app data depends on the security of your device and any backups you create. Use your device's access controls, keep its software up to date, and take care when sharing screenshots or backup files. Backup files contain your learning data; protect them as you would the data on your device.
No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security. If you believe information you sent to us has been exposed or misused, contact support.
9. Changes to this policy and contact details
We may update this policy when our services or information practices change. The latest version will be available on this page with the updated date shown above. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
